I pulled out of a space and scraped a woman's back bumper down my back door and wheel arch and on the way back to work the panel uner the steering wheel fell off.

Yar me fishy treats are goin nowhere. She suggested she gets it seen to privately, she's going to call me later.
It was a VW golf, the back bumper was heavily scratched and had come away a little bit but looked like it would easily clip back in with force. What do you think will happen?

What do you mean by that? What would you have done if she hadn't seen you?

I would have done a sh*it on her bonnet and rubbed it in. No, I was joking in the quoted post, I would have stopped and left my details under her wiper and probably hung around for 10 minutes or so b4 leaving incase she came back and to gather my thoughts.

Well that was an anti climax
Sounds like a rough day, nice to see I'm not the only one suffering

I had to work with a Nigerien bloke who's general behavior made it difficult for me not to nail him to a door.

You'd think so? lol.
Patients were fine this chap is an employee.
The tool just went out of his way to wind me and other staff up. Which wasn't the safest thing he's done. We have a saying
"In your first year you laugh at the patients
In your second year you laugh with them
and in your third year they laugh at you"
I have been working there almost 5 years

Make sure you fall with all your weight, otherwise your neck wont snap.
Then you will be left with your feet swinging around the room, being very slowly choked to death rather than the quick death intended and there's nothing worse than a failure.

God, she's just been in touch and her local 'man' wants £320 all in all. I was hoping they'd just sand it down and repair... or they are and that's how much it's gonna cost. Her man's gonna send me a breakdown of the costs so I guess I can try and find someone cheaper, she said I was welcome to try, don't want to cause the old dear too much fuss tho.

It still hurts...
on another note, I'd just stump up the 350 and feel good she didn't take the piss too badly!
EDIT: and now my (female) housemate is watching glee on MY 60" TV at full volume.. and singing along.. today is literally a write off..

Exactly what I would advise as well!!!!Tom_Maverick wrote:on another note, I'd just stump up the 350 and feel good she didn't take the pee pee too badly!

I'd just pass over the money and swallow it. Any money you might save on finding a cheaper quote you'll spend on petrol, phone and your time shopping about. Also as mentioned above.. it'll be cheaper than your potential next premium should you let you insurance cover it..
