Right.

im my quest to sort out the electrical gremlins.. I got a loom for the obc, but need to trace the black plug back. All i can find is it goes over the inside of the binnacle, and dissapears down some hole or something. I think I need to remove the ECU, but was trying not to as I don't have the right tools!

Also, Would this cause my speedo and swingometer to not work?

In which case, this will have nothing to do with your dials and as far as I know the black plug goes into a small speaker box (ice warning?) the one with the white connector along it goes to the outside temp sensor and the green plug goes in the back of the unit, not sure on other bits as im in work and cant get to the car at the mo.

There are no other bits, that's it for the 6 button unit. And yes, the black connector goes to the 'gong' in the panel under the steering wheel.

Yellow to the back of the dash
Black to the gong
White to temp sensor
Green to OBC. Right.. so hopefully now.. my obc will work!

Ok this is da deal. Weekend I pretty much rip open the center consol/ dash my my car to replace the OBC(13 button) backlight. Backlight in and working now but I however have a few probs that I need help with. So here goes:

1. As far as I am concerned (I could be wrong) if you the key out of the ignition or on zero position, the light of the OBC is supposed to be of!??? Well mine does not go of.

2. Also, if I understand correctly, the OBC and the active check control is somehow linked. Correct or wrong???

3. Correct me if I am wrong but every time after you have taken the key from the ignition and want start again let say like next monin, the check function is suppose to be working?? Mines not. Only when I have removed the battery terminals or the oppropriate fuse.

4. The "CODE" lock does not work on my car. I can like press code and the OBC will "ask" me to enter the code. This is when the ignition is on the number 1 position. Now if I turn the ignition back to the "zero" position to remove the key, the "code - eg. 1111" is still there & I know that when you activate this it is suppose to "ask" for the code when you want to start the car again, eg. "code ----".

Oh yea, after I replaced the bulbs on the OBC I came across a WHITE MALE Plug thats on the harness of the OBC with a yellow wire but I cant seen to locate the female part. Could this be the root of the problem????

BTW, it was 'nt that hard to remove the center consol as I was made to believe. Four screws and thats it.
