i want to fit a mtech 2 kit to my face lift cabby, but not a fan of the tech2 bumpers.

so can i fit the front lower valance only (i have seen it in a PBMW magazine on that red 316 converted to 325 with M52 engine) but that appeared to hang down funnily, is that cause they didn't fit it right of because i need the tech2 bumper??

same for the rear, i want the lower valance only but not the bumper.

got a complete kit from a crashed car but both bumpers are a bit knackered!

help appriciated guys

The tech2 valance is just a little wider than the standard bumper, and in my opinion it just doesn't look quite right.. it would bug me every time I looked at it.

Also, the rear is actually a one piece design, so would rewuire a bit of cut'n'shut to get it on.

sorry to cut in but does the tech 2 spoiler go over the top of the original or is the original removed ....mine is a bit tatty and rather replace it or repair and respray i may just as well fit a tech 2 over the front of it

that may explain what the guy was on about and why the one in PBMW is not exacatly flush fitting, they must have bent the sides in to make it fit causing the middle to droop down.

the set i have is a one piece rear bumper and spoiler so that clears up that bit...its not possible without mods

the front piece is in two...the bumper and the spoiler

it does appear that the lower front valance goes over the original valance and is clipped into place on the bottom of the tech2 bumper..so gazza if you can find a good one you can put it over the top of your valance, but as mentioned above the original bumper would also need to be changed if you done already have a tech2...then of course it would still need painting etc etc.

cheers all and thanks for the piccie aus325, it has made my mind up, front and rear full tech2's
