I have this one but its worn ... poor knob. Id love to get it back to looking like new

whats this kind called if I was looking for one what should I google?

in his pics here, the top round one , is the tech 1 and early m3 "mushroom" round one, same as ravs new one above, from early e30s

then changed to the bottom style, facelift cars,318is, tech 2 sports etc

you get either the gear knob, or an all in 1 knob/gaiter, as fitted to m3`s

you can buy the mtech one now still brand new for £50 odd from bmw (without gaitor) , adit has probably got a few

I was going to get a new one for the M3, I just replaced the badge at first and left it -

The new one is still available from dealers, but the early one's NLA.

Found a mint mushroom knob gaiter attached in my breaker just needs a new badge

I think that's how it got into that state... vigorous handling

Still prefer the mushroom knob!
