Am receiving mixed messages as to whether I can fit a standard wing to my 325i cabriolet - it seems not but I am unable to locate one for my cab - any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Wilkie

Welcome to the zone pal...
Cab wings are different yes, they are deeper and longer at the bottom to my knowledge... You might want to put a wanted ad up in the wanted section...
Are you after a certain colour or any in good coniditon? Also, whats your location pal?

The very lower portion is different. A standard wing will not fit, but should be relatively easily modified by a decent panelbeater to fit without too much trouble.
I have excellent second hand ones available for about half the price of new

Thanks for the replies - I am being told that the cab wing is about an inch longer and that the last inch is only spot welded on and should be capable of being taken off of my wing and spot welded back on? Make any sense? Am happy to buy a second hand wing as it will need to be sprayed in any event. If its a fairly simple modification for a panelbeater I think I will buy a standard wing and have it modified - Wilkie

The spot-weld join on a cabbie is concealed by the trim strip that runs the length of the sill.
Although I provided my bodyman with two decent s/h cabbie front wings,he still deemed it nesessary to make one lower replacement bit.My guy, though, employ's a youngster that he is training,so told me that it was part of his 'learning curve'!

Thanks mate - my mind is at rest now. I will buy a standard wing and let my bodyman know that he is going to have to spot weld the final inch on

It's not the final inch. It's about six inches, but it'll be immediately apparent when you look at two together where the difference is.

I am more than happy to buy a secondhand cab wing - I need the offside and it has the indicator in the wing (not sure if they all do or not). Anyone got one for sale? I am in Kent (Higham)

Rather than starting a new thread...is there a difference between pre/post facelift front wings for the cabriolet?
