Hi Guys

I have a problem due to cutting the wiring loom at the bulkhead on the laserline slh 288 alarm fitted to my 325i 1990.

The alarm is of no use as I have no keyfobs for it so I thought I would remove it.

Now I have chopped this loom at the bulkhead and removed the alarm unit from under the bonnet the car do start i.e all ignition lights on but starter does not turn.

I read now this laserline alarm had an immobiliser built in so the wiring on the car has been spliced into for the immobiliser function.

Does anyone know which wire on the starter motor circuit they have spliced into, what its colour is and where under the dash it is.

Also does anyone have a wiring diagram for the laserline SLH 288 alarm, laserline will not supply for obvious reasons. lol

Thanks for any help.

Normally the trigger wire from the key to the starter is black or black/yellow. You'll need to follow it from the ignition key, as they could have cut into it anywhere, but most likely inside the cabin somewhere.
