I really need to get the timing belt done on my 325 cabby. But heres the problem funds are a bit tight at the moment.
Boyd over at Bavarian Retro has offered to do it in the past but I'm just a bit skint with the wife moaning that the bathroom being replaced has to come first.
So if there are any of you helpful zoners out there that would consider helping me do it as I would like to learn how to.
I can cover your petrol, a few beers, cigs (if your a smoker) etc .
Anyone fancy fitting a M20 Timing Belt - Scottish Zoners

It does help having a knowledgeable mate and an extra pair of hands, but this will have to be the next best thing:

Thanks Grrrmachine. I didn't realise there was now a guide in the wiki for this.

I know little about 6 pots, but as far as Scottish Zoners go, Topblag, or JBH would be helpful on these matters. If they're not around soon to offer advice, give them a PM ;)

Get it done yourself. It's not difficult If you get stuck, I'll come down and sort it out for you.
I don't drink or smoke either. Though the E23 consumes petrol at a pretty impressive rate and a man can never have too many Titleist ProV1.

The m20 is probably the simplest and most straightforward cam belt change i've ever done - i'd honestly say that if you're even considering learning give it go.

Boyd you the man, the guide does look fairly straight forward. I'll order up the parts come pay day then take it on. No doubt I'll be back on for advixe though. Cheers fellas.

Or bring it to the meet and do it there.
There'll be loads of experts on hand to assist/argue about the best way to do it/generally get in the road/spoil the broth.
