My 325i has developed a problem whereby it will die after starting. I can combat the problem by raising the revs to just over 1K immediately after starting. However if i raise the revs as it begins to stutter it will reeeeeally struggle to rev and dies.
After raising the revs for a few seconds, I can come off the throttle and it'll idle fine, at around 650rpm
If it dies, it will then start up again fine and run ok. At the moment I suspect the fuel pump. Any ideas?!
Car starts, idles for a few seconds then dies

As it runs and then dies it sounds like a fuel problem rather than electrical.
If its not the pump possibly a clogged filter or pickup in the tank ?
