Pre-facelift front fog lamp surround+broken screw

Recently had my '87 3.18i returned to me after 20+ years with parents (it was mine new....mum no longer drives..)

Had to replace fog bulb and guess what - one of the screws retaing the lamp-retaining surround snapped off - rotted in the mount. Question is - how do I get the b****** out? There is a *little* of the screw shaft standing out. Too small to drill and tap

Should I try soldering iron heating screw and pull when hot?

VERY Fine drill down side of screw to release?

Give up and fit new mount (er anyone know how to do this..?)

You need to take the screw out of the other side and then take the entire fog light fitting out. You will see how simple the assembly is from there.
