car was resprayed, I believe that the plate or sticker from the bottom of the windshield was removed, the same with the sticker from the drivers door.
is there any other place to look?

The Chassis plate (not sticker!) should be riveted to the front panel just above the back of the drivers side head lamp.
The other chassis number is stamped into the middle of the scuttle panel below the wipers.
No stickers with the chassis number!
