I've bought myself a nice full set of ellipsoid / facelift / smiley headlights 8)

Before I fit them has anyone got a guide to dismantling, cleaning and rebuilding them? I'm trying to get them as clean and, as a result, bright as possible before fitting them :)

Cheers

Matt

I'm in Dorridge, but my headlights are miles away in my unit in Southam.

Is it a simple process? I didn't want to try and force anything apart without knowing what I'm doing :)

Not too far, i'm just of the Warwick Road.

Is it a complete strip and rebuild??

Getting the adjusters out of the plastic grommets is the worst.
New Grommets are available from Meatballs on here.

Make sure you cake the adjusters where they sit in the grommets in WD40 for a while to loosen any rust in there.
There is a knack to getting them out, but it's not easy to describe.

BTW, I have a set of smoked smilies for sale ( shameless plug  )

Speaking of adjusters: Have you put electrical E34 adjusters in before? I've not bought any yet, but it was something I've been considering :)

Thanks for the offer, but I've got a set now, and I'm not smoking them either :)
