Hi all,

I have a M-tec I kit fitted to my 325i Cab and i was thinking about removing it to get a better look at the rust building on my arches.

The only problem is it seems to be rivited to my arches and bonded to the sills as there is no join. Can my kit still be removed without damage to the Kit or the car.

I was thinking I could drill out the rivets but can i just snap the kit of the sills then remove the excess filler before replacing it??

Any advice welcomed
Cheers

sorry, don't know how much this relates to m-tech 1...

just put an mtech 2 on mine, if your rivets are the plastic type then you just push the pin further in and the rivet becomes free. or on some pull the pin out.

my sills weren't bonded on, just little 'G' clamps underneath and removable clips riveted to the sills that the side skirts just pull off of.

it may help to look at http://www.realoem.com/bmw/ which should give you an idea of what clips/parts it all should be held on by...
hope this is of some use.
