E30 restoration proyect by SAC

well.. The car was of my father in law. the e30 was stationary in a garage for 2 years. The car looks so When I bought it:





the light tails looks like a piece of rubbish...



electric mirrors?



soon bought new mirrors, (yes electric mirrors) and new bmw logo



the 2nd hand mirror before polish...

the engine looks... very dirty







the interior looks like a dustbin



at least have a solar roof



20' rims ;)

well... under the seats covers you can see the real interior

after I washed it for first time













but the water enter in to the car by one of tais lights..

the new bimmer logo finally









then I installed the new air filter





I started to clean the engine











several hours later...





I painted some parts of the engine (sorry but I don't know the name of this parts in english)













-sorry for my english one more time, I'm learning more everyday ;)

I bought a yellow fog lights, the car hasn´t this lights

here after a little wash





the trunk door...



I bought a second hand tool box of the E34







& I put another light in the trunk door



The sun roof works now



I bought the M1 spoiler too



I painted in red this parts (sorry I don't know how is in english), & replace the 3w bulbs with new 5w bulbs(without orange caps)







The gear shift knobs before...

Take the 5w bulbs out of the custer! they will melt the orange caps that sit over the bulbs.

I polished & cleaned the glass too.

with the help of my two friends, we changed the valve train-tooth belt





I put the slpoiler too:

I changed the old antena by an electrical antena:



the old antena was a piece of rubbish...



the new electrical antena:







this is the place of battery, rust? only dirt...





then I passed my first inspection



I painted the grille center:





& the indicators too:







& I changed the normal bulbs by orange bulbs...

the next thing, the old seats...



& the rear seat not look well...



I put a new cheap covers for the moment in the rear seats:



& new cover in the rear window shelf by myself:

I dont have money to paint the car for the moment, the crisis in spain is really heavy, for this reason I polished the car:

















I bought in the scrapyard a white rear bumper & look really good:











I cut 2cm here...

I cut the console to put the new buttons for the seat heating instalation:







& then I put the cable under the floor:










I bought in the scrapyard the electrical windows cable, I put the electrical windows instalation too, but I don't have engines yet..









then, I cleaned the seats:





one beautifull day a mate of the E30 spanish forum, present to me this...











another day, i bought in the srapyard this wonderfull leather handbrake handle.





This same day I painted this:

some good work there SAC, she looks 10 times better already
you are lucky, dust and dirt is soooo much easier to rectify than rust.

the winter in Madrid is cold, -2 celsius degrees or less, & remember I'll go live to Ingland this summer, I need hot in my car fot the next winter ;)

can scarcely believe its the same car keep at it!

today I put a new exhaust, using ultimate technology I get up the car & changed the Exhaust





the old exhaust:



for this hole, the car sounded like a kit car.



I put the new OEM exhaust (one of my birthday present)

I'll put alloys, I waiting a bottle caps & I'll polish it. But in England I'll buy another 15' alloys wheels, BBS RS or similar.
