Rear caliper carrier bolt (17mm) has rounded off and I cannot budge it. I've tried shocking it, smashing a smaller socket on, all sorts but I cannot get it off.!
Any ideas boys?
What about welding a nut or socket to it?
I obv need this off before the rear disk will come off

Yes, MIG-welding a bolt or nut onto it usually works wonders.
Otherwise, a good soaking in PlusGas penetrating fluid (far better than WD40) then heating with a blowlamp may work.
If you have the room, you could drill a hole through it and insert a rod to turn it.
Or there's Easy Outs, which screw in with a reverse thread.

My mate just bought me impact sockets and locking wheel nut removers....... The bolt is actually batered now
. You think this will work?
Failing that I will get my mate to weld a nut to the bugger!
Build and convert a car then get stuck on a bloody bolt

Oh yes, there's always one stubborn or unobainable bolt having rebuilt the entire car!
Having presumably removed one caliper bolt, can you not gently prise the caliper up with a crowbar or similar then push it down again then lift again as required to loosen the stuck one?
