why go through all that aggro of building a 330 when you can buy a 02 plate real m3 for 7k
clown with issues spring to mind

Just goes to show you cannot buy good taste.
I cannot think of a single car (apart from race car livery) that looks good with 2 tone.
Can someone tell me what the slots in the bonnet are for?

Because when that was built, e46 M3's were BIG money. It's been done a few years now I believe. The question should be:manse73 wrote:why go through all that aggro of building a 330 when you can buy a 02 plate real m3 for 7k

What a flock of turds.. Another joker who thinks he's a modifying wizard..

And how many pics do you need of a bonnet vent?!
The bonnet made me lol, it's sort of a copy of the m1 vent, but it's the wrong way round. It's a low pressure area, but the cut outs are trying to pull air in. All it's going to do is soak the distributor when it rains

Can someone tell me what the problem is with this guy and why the Bimmerflex events were boycotted? I spoke to the guy and he seemed genuine enough and said he was subjected to false allegations of theft from the charities he was donating to, by some people who had beef with him for some reason? I'm just intrigued to know what's behind it?
As for the show itself, I went last year and it was pretty good although not as well attended as 2010. The DJ and constant drum'n'bass or whatever, was a PITA though and spoilt things. The thing I disliked most though, were the jail-bait girls handing out leaflets, or doing photographs in skimpy outfits that left nothing to the imagination. These girls looked 16 at the most and some nearer 14. I was there with a mate and his young family and it was embarrassing and not what I expect at a family event.

it's just that they are usually stored in a toolbox rather than round a lycra-clad teenager..Morat wrote:Surely every E30 has duct tape and large cable ties in the boot as a matter of course?

I had forgotten all about the Ace tonight. I'll quickly tidy and do the washing-up and take a drive over. I would have just left it but as my mrs just paid for me to go to Brands on Wednesday I figure her wrath would simply be too much to bear!

the guy comes across as a nice enough person BUT he is a tool. he goes on and on etc say how he hates forums and thinks the car club shows and other shows are crap blah blah blah etc.
to top it off, he let slip the money figuers which the show makes, and some how of 12k that came in only 3k went to charity even though he said all profits go to charity.
i dont know how much it costs to put on a show, but there is no was it cost 9k, not at that field that its held in
then there's the show and shine, all his mates cars getting awards and who ever else helps him etc he slags off 'big budget' cars yet he then hands them over awards, says that the mags dont feature any real cars but arse licks mag editors to get them to support his cause
its one complete farce run by a 2 faced prick
shows are done to make money for one reason or another, thats given but and its big but i dont like being conned out of £10 for at least £5 to in and line his pocket and to be used to disgracefully modify his cars
since the stories surfaced he has not shown his face at any other BMW show or meet to speak to people and clear his name. he would be at ace cafe every month going on about his show but now he wont even surface out of the pond he lives in, he is pond scum
i've told him several times to come down, he's more than welcome at the ace cafe and if he's got nothing to worry about and clear his name with the people who are questioning him, but the truth is he wont because he cant face the people he has mugged off.

Yes, sorry Kos, I would have hung around longer but couldn't cope with car stereo merchants displaying just why it is that they're single.
If anyone says things like ''all profits to charity'' then there's no reason why they shouldn't go public with the shows finances. He did tell me that, due to allegations, he had been investigated and subsequently cleared by the Police. I have no idea if that's true or not though. I'm surprised Unity Media have not sought to resolve the whole issue given that their magazine is linked to the show by offering the support of Performance BMW Magazine?
I'm sure it could feel a bit intimidating having loads of people on your case making allegations etc, but if there really is nothing behind them, he would be doing himself a favour by making an effort to clear things up. In fairness to him, he has always been OK with me and he did mail me asking if I would be prepared to judge at the classics event (I declined) but if there's a solution to all the animosity surely it makes sense to go after it?
As you say, he could come down to the Ace and talk the whole thing through.
