Hi

Does anyone know the part n.o for the gasket that goes in between the manifold and down pipe on a 1990 325 cab.

The gasket I have has 4 stud bolt holes as the mainfold has 4 studs and the down pipe has 4 hole for the studs.

BMWFANS and REALOEM only show the 3 stud hole gaskets and part numbers.

Cheers

Thought it was, was wondering also if the 318i gasket was the same size as the 4 stud one on my 325i, my gasket though has a diamond shape outer profile.

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do ... g=18&fg=05

This is for an '88 325i Touring

IIRC even though the photo looks wrong ( i.e 2 x triangular shaped gaskets ) if you order 1 of the gaskets ( number 2 ) 18301711969 this is what you need and the correct gasket with the 4 bolt holes will be supplied - ive ordered one based on this and the dealers supplied the right one first time.

Obviously put your vin number into realoem to confirm for your car - the above is for a 2 piece system with no cat - I believe the 3 piece system uses a different gasket.

18301711969 is spot on for a 2 piece which your car should have. Rob is right.

I've bought a couple for my 89 325i convertible over the years and thats the number on the invoices. :D

Cheers Gazman, have already ordered a M40 318i gasket of ebay for £4, if it does not fit I will have to get the proper part 18301711969 which appears to be about £20.
