Hey guys my 318is has been sitting a while and after getting her up and running she's surging when idling. When the air mass meter is disconnected it stops surging...runs like crap but it does stop.

Anyone have any experience with this issue, can it be repaired or is it just a replace job?

Cheers for any help

Remove the idle control valve first clean it out with carb cleaner, check for split hoses M42 has millions of the little buggers

Ha brilliant! Did you remove both the heating plates if so how did it run afterwards? Also where did you put the icv?

This is a sound thing to do when it comes to manifold painty time winkeye
