I'm new here, so bear with me :D

Firstly, the fan clutch on my M10 has packed up, are all the clutches the same, or will only an M10 one fit?

Secondly, I lowered the car with some springs from FK auto, which stated a 75/50 drop. I'd say the front's dropped about 50 and I might as well stick the original springs back in the rear. I'm tempted to try the GMAX set with a 40/40 drop looking at pictures of other members cars. What I want to know is are the drops consistent with the GMAX springs? I'm only interested in bringing the back down really, I'm happy with how the fronts sat, and the way it handles with the FK springs in it.

Third. As above, I have an M10 engine, which means a single exhaust all the way though. However, it'd be nice to have a twin tail back box. Without going aftermarket (tired of loud noises) I was wondering if anyone supplied a single into double connecter where the mid pipe joins the rear section? Or would I have to fabricate my own?

Cheers in advance

All viscous couplings are the same. All fans aren't the same. If you're buying new, get the best quality. If used, swap your fan over or check it's exactly the same.

Sorry can't help with the rest of your queries.

75/50 drop on these cars really isn't advised. No idea about going that low, but the generally agreed maximum on the forum is 60/40, so if you search for that you'll find better info on lowering.

As for the exhaust; some versions of exhaust for the 320i used a single- to double pipe system. You may be able to convert that, but I don't know of any aftermarket bolt-on options.

@cecotto
Cheers for that. I might just buy new, doesn't look to expensive.

@grrrmachine
As I said, it stated 75/50 but in reality it's more 50/10. Buy cheap buy twice etc etc. I don't think it's too bad on m10 engines, the sump seems to sit a lot higher and it's made of steel.

I'll take a flick back through the bosal catalogue or on realoem and see if I can spot one of these systems.

No good looking at realoem (ETK). The diagrams in there are just diagrams of a 'typical component), and may not look anything like the part in reality. A twin inlet and single exit, a double inlet and double exit, and a single inlet and double outlet silencer box are all possibly share the same diagram.

Dont the viscous fans come with 3,4 or 5 mounting holes for the fan?

When I bought a Pirate one I was asked how many holes I needed. :?
