Hi Guys,
My friend has the ultimate number plate for any E30 owner (E30 BMW) and is considering selling it.
He would like to know if there are any people interested before he lists it and if so how much do you guys think it might be worth.
It is currently on his car so would have to be removed prior to sale.
Let me know. I will try to persuade him to part with it.

Make of that what you will.

it is a pretty cool plate, but every time you go to a show, everyone will think you just got a show plate

best bet for that is an auction. all those guys hiding their prized possesions in garages are the ones you want to reach...(i hate that btw, lush cars sitting in garages never to see the light of day, never to be revved above 1,5k....drive it! that's what ferris would do!)

Ah, 2004, the good old days when everybody had loads of cash to burn.
Thanks to everyone buying M3's and M5's then, we now have global warming, which triggered the world-wide recession, which now robs us of the ability to spend a fortune on cherished number plates, which the DVLA points out you don't own anyway.
Looks like I'm going to miss out on this one, I'm gutted.

Can't see the point of paying for a number. Unless it says 3251 and you get the rest of the car. :D

My guess is that properly advertised it could make pretty serious money.

I mean, people are paying £50,000 plus on sport evos. For people with that much spare cash to spend on a toy, or collection trinket then £5k plus on the ultimate uk registration to match it is pocket change.

Always seemed a massive shame it was put on an e46, and a shame to think it could be worth enough to put it out of most peoples reach.

If it was a grand I'd have snapped it up, but I bet a lot of others on here would have too!
cheers,

harry

Hi guys,
He is going to put it on eBay at the weekend. Who ever is interested can bid on it.
A reserve will be put on, obviously.
It is on E46 because his E30 was stolen.

Would have said a grand is plenty for it. Cherished numbers just not fetching what they
did a few years back. To be honest its got a really limited market , only on here or fellow E30 owners , and to be fair the cars are just not worth the money to support a high price . There may be a few eccentric M3 owners but I would have thought they would be few are far between, and the plate would look very tacky on a Sport Evo and as suggested only a show plate.
If the offers of £700 and above are genuine then get it sold asap

It's also suitable for a 330. Most 330 drivers won't even know what an E30 is and will think themselves very clever to have purchased a number that matches their car.

A bit more than this?? Numbers get advertised at all sorts of prices, but selling them is a different matter altogether.
