I need to connect a wire from the cruise control to the speed sensor wire, but where is the speed sensor wire on the cars loom located. I've got the blue and yellow wire from the cruise control but I'm struggling to find where to connect it.

Surely that can't be right, I read that the speed sensor wire comes out of the ecu somewhere, so surely there is a wire somewhere near the ecu. Unless of course I've read it totally wrong.

o sorry you need to know it from that end
i believe its pin 27 (y) and pin 26 (bk)
for the speed sensor out of the ecu

Speed sensor signal comes from the green socket on the instrument cluster. The problem is that most clusters don't have a green socket, but they do all have provision for it.
On the back of the cluster, under the speedo. there is a flat area. The correct socket has a green plastic frame and double ended male pins, which push into the holes in the flat area.
The whole group of holes at one end are all speed signal, and it's possible to dispense with the green socket and just push a stripped off short length of wire into the hole, secured there with some glue or tape.

Vehicle speed signal, or engine speed signal
Im assuming you mean vehicle speed as you refer to the Blue/Yellow wire? The same colour wire comes out of the back of the clocks on Pin 10 (cant remember which colour plug) but it travels accross the back of the dash through the fusebox and into the C101 Pin 14 where it changes to Black/White in the engine loom, the engine loom side of the wire might also be hanging out of the loom by the ECU ready to be plugged into the CC loom?
