I'm thinking of attending but probably not in one of my E30s. I've got an opportunity for a close up of the MP4-12C and don't want to miss it. If BadDave was attending I may convoy with him.

Sorry Colin,I'm not heading across this year.
Impending work closure on 11/5 (predicted)so I'll be there till my redundancy comes through. Also, my holiday year starts on 1/5 so not really worth taking a fortnight off just as the place is closing.
May as well take as much ££££ out of the place as I can before the place closes.

One thing i'd best mention having thought about going down with friends prior to getting my current job.
The French Police are going to be out in force during Le mans and the few weeks prior, and won't take kindly to anyone speeding, even if they're only a few km over the limit.
I've heard people getting banned from driving in france, 1000 euro finds and car's being impounded are not uncommon either

Snakebrain, I'm on about the 24hrs. Anyone going keep an eye out for a Mauritius Blue cabby that'll be me ( assuming M50 conv is done ). Good point about speeding and the French police - they love to cause us grief. Has anyone got experience of trying to get out of Karting Nord ( inside the track) as soon as the race finishes? only ask because i've only ever done Thursday to Monday before but due to baby and unhappy Mrs I am going down on Friday and booked on eurotunnel for 10pm Sunday night - hoping i won't have to risk licence loss to make it !

I'm looking to go to the Classic event this summer - been meaning to go for years. Anybody ever been to one?
From what i saw last year it'll probs take you a while to get out that site. You might be best packing everything up ready and park out side the track. Then again it seemed pretty dead after 6 didn't it? Depending on where the ferry is you're getting you'll make that easy.Ianb wrote:Snakebrain, I'm on about the 24hrs.
