wash wipe headlight swap

Is it possible to swap non smiley wash wipe headlights fro smiley ones? There must be a way to do it.. If you break a lense or so.. You're not going to buy the whole assembly instead of the actual light!! Or do they make you do that?

The only difference between wash-wipe and non wash-wipe lights is the metal ring around the lens. The rings pull off, from the bottom I think.
So you can swap the original lights for any smileys and fit the wash-wipe rings.
