Hi,

I need to take some wing mirrors appart to have them painted and I;m wondering how best to do it ?

Does the back prise off, or maybe you have to remove the mirror?

TIA

Richard

Theres a little screw on the underside of the mirror body, give it a little turn and the glass should come out.

There's no 'screw' as such. The glass is removed by rotating a large plastic ring glued to the back of the glass, and to enable this to be done, there's a small hole on the underside of the mirror and a few teeth on the ring. The idea is to push a small screwdriver through the hole, engage the tip with the teeth, and lever the ring around to the point where it unlocks and the glass comes out.
I find an easier way is to tilt the glass up as far as it will go, then push the small screwdriver under the bottom edge of the glass and into the teeth, which you should be just able to see.
