any one done this, have a block in ok condition... chain nipped at 105k, bent 10 valves so thinking of bringing it up too 2.1l.... heard bout this long time ago

can be done with a crank from a diesel (m47 i think), look in the engine swaps and tuning section.

Where abouts are you? I will have a good M42 head for sale soon. Let me know if you are interested and you can see it running.

Rebuilding the engine as a 2.1 is possible but expensive.
