Right, misses has an E36 cab for the summer, so here goes

1. All e36 front discs the same across the range?

2. Lollipop bushes the same as e30 if so would m3 concentric ones be a worthwhile upgrade?

3. Rear wheel bearings just as much hassle to change as e30 or harder?
4. Before I pull it apart is the handbrake (rear discs) the same setup as e30

cheers

1.) Four pot stuff generally has solid discs although the 318iS and later 1.9 318Ti Compacts have vented fronts.

2.) DEFINITELY worth fitting E30 M3 eccentric bushes. They last forever and make the steering a bit more sensitive without any road noise coming into the car.

3.) Yes, an arse.

4.) Pretty much. The cables rarely if ever stretch or break. It's the pivot assembly that seizes and they always need stripping, cleaning and a smear of copper grease. It's worth fitting new rear discs as well. I've overhauled both of mine now and both work very well with bi-annual cleaning and adjusting with the disc removed.
