Before I delve into find the fan and test it, is there anything I may have missed.
It dosn't work on any settings ie 1-4.
There is a "clicking" noise coming from behind the dash, approx every 5 seconds when I switch it on, so i'm guessing the fan is stuck or knackered.
I've checked fuses etc.

Sounds like your fan is on the way out. But before you kill it, mine does this sometimes and I find that if I push the knob in a bit it all works. Must be a bit of fluff on the contact or somthing.

Heater fans are prone to 'dry up' and create too much resistance for the motor to push the fan blades round. I got round it with WD40. Unscrew the bulkhead panel in engine compartment and prise off the rubber bonnet seal. Lever the bulkhead cover forward and you should see the heater assembly in the middle. I squirted WD40 into the fan blades/spindles either side and freed them up. Stunk inside the car for a couple of weeks but it did the job. Been working fine on all settings for months. If you can clean up the resistor in the front of the housing and the switch itself it will probably help.
