as we had the first real rays of sunshine and blue skies of this year here in oxford, UK.....it was time to get rid of all the junk the winter roads offer, salt, snow, gunk....etc. heres the process

meguirs ultimate wash and shine
meguirs quick clay
autoglym custom wheel cleaner
autoglym intense tar remover (wheels and body)
autoglym active insect remover
meguirs swirlx (hand finished)
meguirs NXT 2.0 tech wax
autoglym alloy wheel sealant
meguirs ultimate tyre shine

this was only made possible by the wife and kid going to the mother-in-laws (you know how it is  )

hope you like the pics...

thanks chaps for all the great comments! as i drive it daily, i kept promising it a good clean....i'm not much of a photographer, but like to have a go...i just wish i'd put that bleeding rear head rest down though! thats where the child seat occas goes and i dont want it rubbing on the headrest, ah well, its done now.

about bloody time too Atul, you're car was an absolute disgrace and an embarassment to the zone, i'm surprised you drove it in public tbh!

:giggle:

but honestly, active insect remover? i've heard it all now :teehee:

yup, it is silver (grey cloth and grey vinyl)....i hadn't seen it in a n e30 before, just the more normal grey cloth with black vinyl or leather...........i really like it as it seems to match well instead of black and grey (esp door cards). i most definitely wouldn't say no to a mint leather interior (used to have a dolphin sport with the natural leather which i though looked lush), but those are pretty rare and expensive. good cloth is always better than bad leather imo. on a hot day though, when the car has been in the sun and with no aircon, i'm glad i have cloth!

insect remover is properly gay i know, did cut down the wrist stress though, getting those buggers off can be a bit of hard work.....we've all done it haven't we, when we bring the jetwash at maximum power to within an inch of an insect stuck to the bumper and the blighter STILL clings on somehow!

btw, how about this product, it's next on my list

Yes silver is not as common as the anthracite and does look well, especially in nice condition.
I would fully agree about a good cloth is better than a bad leather interior.Better even, than an "average" leather interior. Most original leather interiors unfortunately fall into one of those two catogorys these days, from what i have viewed. :(

Thats a real nice looking motor.

Theres a guy who does decals for e30s, top job and puts the originality back in any e30, he's in parts for sale somewhere.

bad news.............. if you try and remove it, it will probably tear, if you get it in one piece,it will probably be stretched and distorted.

good news.............i have a spare!

changing cars so soon? back to an e30 i hope!
