Hey up,
Trying to figure out if my RTABs are bad? I get a quick left to right arse wiggle when I kick the autobox down in sport mode, but under hard braking it seems fine.
It almost feels like the tyres have lost traction for a second then found grip and the rear end straightens up, the tyres are new and have loads of tread.
Upon visual inspection the bushes seem fine, I don't have any other problems with it. The car has 107k and as far as I know the RTABs are original.
What other tests can I do for check the RTABs?

You could've said!
There's not much to test without unbolting most of the subframe (including the diff) and giving it a good wiggle. Chances are though that after 20 years and 107k they'll be way past their best. The Wiki has a guide on replacing them.

Yeah I've read it, looks like a right job.
Other forum members say they affect overall handling too, which i'm not experiencing. My car is pretty damn tight, I think It may be the crap tyres I have on the rear. I'm gonna change them and get a geometry check, tracking and wheel balance done.
I'll get back to you guys on this.
