Will E28 1986 M20b20 easily fit a 1990 E30 320

Hi , as the title says will an engine from an 1986 E28 520 fit without problems to a 1990 E30 320? Or is there a lot of differences ?

nope straight swap just make sure you use all the loom from ya 1990 one

You'll need to convert the early E28 engine management system to the later E30 facelift one.

Crank pulley and bracket for CPS will need swapped over from the late car to the early engine and you'll need to use the full engine loom from the E30 too.

Basically use the long block only from the E28, swap everything else over and you'll be fine.
