M3's didn't have the rear plate surround.nadz325i wrote:

You can still remove them though, it's down to your personal taste I suppose, US E30's didn't have the plate surrounds on the rear.
Take yours of and give it a good polish behind there, if it's not rusty (common to rust here on E30's) then leave it off, get some surrounds, and it will look different!

With IMO. Looks more German as said before. They're cheap enough so just buy 'em and see what they look like on your car.
