M52 conversion ... How long

How longs it taken you guys too do a m52 conversion start too finish?

how long is your piece of string ? there's no real time frame on doing any kind of Engine conversion, especially when it's something that wasn't factory built...

Yea it's very hard to say! I collected or the parts an did my m50 wiring over 6 weeks or more! then took my m42 out on a Friday night put the m50 in Saturday made my exhaust manifolds Sunday an finished it off Monday morning!

Whilst doing mine I was waiting on parts, but after I received everything I guess I only really spent like 3-4 days going over everything.

Some people will tell you they completed there conversion in 37 seconds, and others have taken 4 years+. With ALL the bits waiting and ready to go it can be done in 2-3 days. 99% of the time something will be missing/broken/worn and hold you up, Plan for it to take a week and you should be fine.

I spent about a year reading up and collecting bits, then did most of the heavy stuff over a long weekend, then the next two years 'fettling' lol
