White connector hanging out the side of the console on the second pic. is one of the switch sockets for rear electric windows.
There will be a second one there for the other side, plus a two pin socket for the rear window isolator switch, unless someone has been busy with the side cutters.

yes very simple you just need the looms for the rear doors, electric window mechanisms, 2 window switches and the cut off switch

99.999% the looms are already in the doors, motors and switches is all they usually need!

Hi

ALl, Thanks, I will check if the looms are in the doors, they would need to be connected to the connectors near the gear stick housing. so the motor will connect onto the current mechanism? and that just leaves the swicthes.

Please can you guys confirm this.. many thanks

The whole regulator for the electric windows is different. In very basic terms - you remove the manual regulator and fit the electric one. If the loom is there, you just plug it in using the plugs already in the door. Then add switches to the centre console and to the rear door cards.

If you do a search you may find a photo guide on how to do it. There isn't one in the wiki as far as I can see.

You should be able to pick up a rear conversion kit on here reasonably cheaply. When you see the parts in a picture it is more obvious what you have to do.

No, its much more worthwhile to get out of the car or climb over the seats to wind the windows down :)

All E30s with a sensible number of doors have the rear window loom fitted at least as far as a socket inside the B pillars, where the loom for each rear door plugs in. All rear door looms have the central locking wiring, but only some have the wiring for the windows as well.
If you want to fit rear electric windows, and already have the full loom, it's just a matter of plugging in the switches and the motor. If you only have the part door looms, you will need to change them for the full ones.

Hi

ALl this is what i have as shown below, the plug goeas as far as the b pillar.

So I would need the motor and the loom back to the plug, is that it, what about the window mechanism?, is this easy to fit?

You can clearly see in the first pic. that the body part of the loom has several more pins than the door loom, so you are one of the unfortunate ones that will need to change the door looms.
Actually fitting the rear electric window mechanism is just removing six bolts, changing the manual for the electric unit, and refitting the six bolts.
