Hi Folks need some advide.
When moving the bottom slider on the heater controls on my cab it is not changing where the air flow comes out in the car, which it used to do until it got a bit stiff and I probably used too much force and broke it.
So I have found this guide on how to get at the sliders by removing the heater facia panel.

The question is once I have access to the sliders what should I do next to try and fix the problem?

I have had to mess with my heater controls to get the regulations of the flaps right.
Once you get the lever box free you can swing it away from the centre console and see how the cable outers are clamped with a metal plate held down with a screw. You can loosen the screw and adjust the tension to get the adjustment right but you'll probably find that you need to see the lever at the other end of the cable aswell to get the tension right, which will mean removing the lower centre console too.
The levers at the contol end are not directly connected to the cables either, it's done with a series of inter-linked levers which, when I was messing around, came apart and are fiddly to get back together. That's possible what has happened to yours.
Take care with the fibre optic light feeds to the lever sliders when you're in there, they're easy to get trapped in the mechanisms.
I finally got my heater controls working properly but it took me several attempts. Patience is required

These are sensations as hard to forget as they are to ignore.....
