I've just spent the last few hrs making up plates to weld on to the rear arb brackets, like these:

I've hit a small problem :x

I've only got it tacked together so I could test fit it but it won't all go back on. I straightened the lip on the original bracket a little bit. The bush with arb won't fully push into the bracket enough to get it all on.

Before making the bracket up I test fitted the original bracket with bush and arb and I have to use the bolt to pull the bracket over the bush and have it all nice and flush. No though because of the extra bit you don't have the leverage which was why I straightened up the lip a little. It's more or less sitting against the under side of the boot but the original bolt hole is still of to far off for it to pull the lot tight.

Hope that makes sense

I still need to drill the 2nd hole in the boot floor and then also drill them bigger. There's threaded studs right above them in the touring boot, i missed one but the other got drilled out as if I was trying to drill it out

I've always used the Ireland Engineering Billet Mounts - nice billet aluminium with generic size bushes from some GM/Ford sway bar.
E30racing.com.au - Like Production BMW Cup, but upside down!
