Hi all...

A few weeks back someone went to open my glovebox in the E30 and the handle came off in their hand. Nothing snapped or anything like that, just the handle came off.

I managed to get it to slot back in, however it no longer feels spring loaded as it were, feels very flimsy and you have to manually push the handle back to it's normal position after you've pulled on it to open it up.

Has anyone else ever had this issue?

There are some screws on the inside of the glovebox that attach to the back of the handle. Will undoing these and fiddling around inside it be of any help d'you think?

Any help/advice would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Yes you'll need to take the handle off to have a proper look - sounds like its bust though :(

I have a brand new handle if you need one ( although unfortunately it isnt a locking one ) pm me if you want it and we'll sort something out.

the handle should be spring loaded,if you take it off again and look at the back of it there should be two springs on a bar one at each end. They need to be put back in place if they are still there .
