Hi been on here a quite some time and already have a BMW cab, just brought a J plate 325i sport (genuine) and not looking forward to taking it all apart as it's been a mot failure since 2008, and parked up since I brought it toward the end of last year. The car has failed on quite alot of welding, and being a car from Scotland I thinks it's got a few more horrors lurking under the kit. Here are a few picture of what the looked like when it was on the road and the sorry state it lies in now. Will be asking alot of advice and questions as I go along so all your input is welcomed
Cheers Kol
In it's heyday
And now the state it's in now
Thanks for looking guys will be asking people for information on where to get things done, and who to get it done from.

If it's bad on the surface, usually going to be worse when you start taking things off I'm afraid!! But as you said, this is a late one and a Sport so try to save it. Good luck

Surface wise from what I can see it's just the passenger side rear arch which was lobbed full of filler and just crumbled

Before spending ££ at it take kit of and lift carpets out etc and good old prod around, these things hide it well
But yes it will always frag decently but try the restore route if not too bad, people frag these things for v.minor reasons

I hope you don't need anything stronger than that!

All the best, looking forward to the updates.

Get the kit off, you can do it in a couple of hours. Hit it head on, as soon as possible.
I brought a Tech II sport back from NI and it had rotten rear inner and outer arches - when I took the kit off I was pleasantly surprised to see no more rot so you may have a pleasant surprise in store !
Good luck.

Thanks guys, will get stuck in when the garage is all cleared of all the rubbish and the racking sorted to store all the parts. Being a J plate that is the main reason for me not fragging it, as never seen one before. I'm located in rainham essex near the cheery tree area, we met before at galleons when you had just picked up your Audi A3 I had the cream cab with my pal Ian
