Unidentified cable dangling...

Hi all,

I have a cable dangling near the AFM, it comes out of the same conduit bit as that for the AFM plug. It is a two pin plug that is just freely swinging in the fan wind.

Any ideas what it's for?

is it an M40 engine?

if it's an M40 engine it for the purge valve as part of the emmisions system, not fitted to UK models.

Yeh I should've said really, it's an M40 engine.

Do I not need to worry about this then and leave it dangling?

Yuo can tape it to something if you want, but it don't plug in anywhere :)

You are missing parts 15 and 19 and some other bits, don't worry about it

Same on any E30 engine, 4 or 6 pot, 8, 12 or 16 valves!
You do have hose #20 hanging off of the inlet manifold though (4 pot only} and it's essential this is blocked off.
