I think there is a guy in UK Ebay who makes these himself, the name is something like gaiter... and something else. Not entirely sure if these were made as standard by BMW !

you can use the leather handbrake cover from any e32 7 series if you can find a nice one also some of the e34's had them and e46 depending on spec also some e39 they all share the same handbrake lever diameter
i also put on a chrome button from a z3 looks mint
all factory parts !
would probably cost peanuts from a scrappy
a call to a specialist bmw breaker should find you one easy and most will post it to you

There's quite a few normal E30's that had the leather handbrake gaitors too, M3's had them as standard as well as motorsport cabs.
Matt (A1BMW325isport) also makes them (or maybe it was his dad) but worth sending him a PM.

Iain, is that one actually real leather? I priced one up for the M3, and the price was about Ԛ£120 for a black leather one.Templ8e30 wrote:They were fitted to some models, my 2.7 was a 320i SE and has grey leather.

ive bought the same set as parksie from mr gaitor and they are good quality real leather, the handbrake and gearstick set costs Ԛ£24.95. you have to remove the subframes from the original parts and fit them to the new gaitors yourself ,but it is only a 5 minute job.
