Was thinking of at some point in 6 months or so of fitting air ride to my e30 as a possibility and was just curious how much it costs is it about 1500?
Has anyone on the zone had it done?
Thanks
Matt

b*llocks.. if you don't know what you are talking about or are following (I say that loosely as you don't have a hard-stanced ride) some stupid scene and their opinions then good for you, we'll all have a chuckle at your cracked sump, f*cked suspension and general sh*tehouse car.. I expected a more sensible answer from someone who likes to rabbit on about how it's your car and you'll do what you like with it and we are all different etc..verde wrote:It costs ur soul and dignity.
an air ride system is around the £2400 mark from Rayvern (fitted) it's about £1500 for the kit

Sorry was that message to me? I was just asking out of curiousity, I probably wouldn't actually do it unless I was planning to put the car on show stands etc.
I just wanted to know out of interest what it may cost really and if anyone had done it on here, because would be interested to see photos of someone that has done it, just to see what it looks like on a e30.
Cheers

I can understand it from a security point of view but think it's gash on a car like the E30.
I think the E30 in this clip was a member on here once upon a moon.

Haha thats classic never seen one that vertical and bouncy before
Have seen some at the run to the sun car show, but none quite that extreme, one of them I was watching drived of with the hydraulics low on one side and it scraped all the sill.
Think this is definitely a no-no for a e30 actually.

"Hard parked" is a term gays and stancecocks (much the same really) use to describe a car that is lowered on springs/coilovers rather than using air ride to achieve the look.RSlut wrote:'Hard parked' what the feck does that mean??verde wrote:Old cars, keep em hard parked
You get stance points from the cool kids if you drive a "hard parked" car, or so I am lead to believe.

There was a red cab parked among the red m3s at gaydon last year. It had a completly custom dash with electronic gauges everywhere.
That was on air and im afraid it just didnt look the part. Especially when it was idling more lumpy then a teenagers face...
A nice set of wheels (alpina/hartge) with a 40 to 60(max) mm drop looks perfect!

If you want to get air suspension, then get it. It's your car, your money and up to you what you do with it.
I can't help with info about it unfortunately, but my god the way some people carry on about "council" and losing your soul and dignity is stupid.

Jeeeesus...
A few things spring to mind with this thread...

If you want to make your car do the air thing, fook what someone on the internet thinks.
And hard parked???

Why do these people need to come up with stupid words for 'lowered... '
Stanced, hard parked, hella flush... Now, this is very gay...

Just was asking out of curiousity basically was bored at work and wondered if anyone has done it, wasn't really planning a full on democracy about it.
I wouldn't spend that sort of cash on suspension anyway, will probably just buy some slightly stiffer (lowering springs) just to take the body roll on corners away and basically just improve the safety and driveability of the car.
Thanks everyone for the advice and the others for there point of views.

air ride would come useful where i live as theres fuckin huge speed bumps all over the place, so if u like your e30s low but want to avoid killing your sump and scrapping it from underneath when going over speed bumps then imo air ride is a option, other then that its useless.

Pretty funny, not really a e30 thing though, more of a cadillac, lincoln continental sort of thing.
