Done a search again and nothings come up thats relevent!
I cant seem to lock the rear of the the hard top into place and iv had two fat blokes pressing on it whilst i turn the the second from top bolt and it still wont lock into place!
Iv loosened the large locking nut right off but the twist in pin just does not want to lock in place?
What am i doin wrong?

Put the pins on the car first, then mount the hardtop on the pins. Could be that they are set too low, try and get the platform, that the hardtop sits on the pins, halfway up the thread, like so :

Hi,thanks for the replys, yes Everythings there, nothings missing, have loosened off the lockng nut right off.
Thats a clever idea puttin the Pins on the car first! But am i going to have this problem all the time when it comes to reffiting?
Also is it the top nut or the one underneath to release and secure the hard top.
Z31...That pic has a different locking nut then mine?it has some kind of bar on it??

I removed the hook nut to show where the "shelf" sits on the thread. Below is the full article. The hook nut secures the pin to the hardtop. The top 11mm is to lock the pin to the car bayonet fashion by 1/4 turn. Its this feature that you can use to remove the hardtop from the car, leaving the pins fixed to the hardtop. I prefer to undo the hook nut and lift off the hardtop leaving the pins in place.
The bar is there to keep the HRW connection in place, often its missing.
