I still have the original wiring plugs, however my new headunit runns of a different system so I'll have to rewire it. The two plugs apply to 1. Speakers and 2. Power and ???
Basically, the second plug has 5 wires going into it. Does anyone know which colour does what?
Thanks

Pete don't care about colour, He would shag a rainbow if he could find the end of it....

Everytime I remove a headunit and see a jumble of wires held together with insulation tape, I curse whoever was scabby enough not to just buy a set of adapter cables and do the job properly in the first place.
If anything, if you come to sell the car and wish to keep the headunit, its a nice easy job to fit in the next car you get... Unless the previous owner was a cnut and decided to do a bodge job and cut the cables...

Thanks Kam, that's brilliant.
bimmaman, this is why you don't be a tool and use a chocolate block. Then when you come to get a different car you just reconnect the original plugs to the block... Not difficult. Besides, I'm keeping this car 'til it rots.
I also fail to see how I could connect an adapter to two buggered plugs that fall out whenever the road gets rough. There's a reason for me doing it this way, I do think before I post.
