Does anyone have an upgraded clutch on an M20? I currently have a 2.7 which I will getting as much power from as my funds will allow, and was thinking that the standard clutch surely can't take 30% more than usual.
Or can it?
Would it be worth getting an upgraded clutch?

Dont waste your money on an uprated clutch. Lots of very powerful 2.7's have standard cluthes without any problems at all.

i've got an e28 m5 clutch on the m30 turbo, so maybe a e30 m3 clutch could fit the m20??
i've got 315bhp and 365lb of torque going thru a cluch thats should be on an engine which give 286bhp and about 250lb torque with no slip problens and its taken a lot of shit for over a 18 months, and in a mates 2.5 m20turbo with 245 bhp and 265 lb torque it got a standard clutch again with no probs for about 2 years, maybe thats some food for thought?

would not recommend a black diamond h/d clutch - fitted one on my 2.7 and admittedly after some immature mechanically unsympathetic driving - found it overheated and slipped a few times
never had a problem with a stock clutch on old 2.5 - ever
