hi ive bought a e36 donor car and since it was tax n tested ive been using it as a workhorse.
the car has got a few issues it seems to kick feels like the petrol shuts off and comes back it does this occationally, the water pump is noisy but the car doesnt overheat.
the car also takes abit longer to start and feels lumpy after it kicks like a loss of power but then goes back to normal, im now getting really crappy mpg when i bought it i was getting over 30mpg this really started happening after a jetwash can anyone help please?

Sounds like a possible cam or crank sensor slowly failing.

If you're buying new ones, then only buy genuine stuff, the ebay/aftermarket stuff is crap. Sadly a cam sensor is about £90 at BMW now I think.

Probably best getting a scan done on it with a diagnostic machine if you can
