My 325i is up for the test. everything else passed but the emissions. found the air transfer pipe form the MAF to the manifold had a split in it and the pipe from the idle control valve to the manifold had a split, have these ordered. Put in a new set of plugs too. Is there anythin else it could be. Any advice is much appreciated.

You might find that someone has wound in the adjuster screw on the AFM to try to mask / compensate for the air leaks, but don't touch that screw until you're sure you haven't fixed it, otherwise you'll need a gas analyser to set it right again.
These are sensations as hard to forget as they are to ignore.....
