Im thinking of putting the battery in the boot, not so much for weight distribution, as i dont really think this matters too much on a road car, but as i would like to have a nice neat distrubution block in the engine bay, tidy the cables running to the block, then a power cable running back.

i know there was a factory kit for this, and i have a few questions before i start.

what does the factory kit consist of?
where in the boot does the battery go?
how is it covered?
how much are the kits?
how is the power distribution handled?
what gauge wire is used?
could/should i sack the factory kit and compile the bits myself?

cheers,
matt

*edit seems like more than just a few questions now!

The battery fits behind the rear offside wheel arch....

You also need the tray and securing clamp to mount the battery in the boot tub and the plastic cover if you want it to look neat.

Not sure whether the side carpet is different as well ?

Secondhand kits with everything you need usually go from £35 - £50
