Dear All,
I need some help, my touring head lining has collapsed at the rear, the cloth has come off.
do I take the whole lining off front back to front or can I spray adhesive in-situ?
The area hanging is front passenger head area to complete back where the rar interior light is.
thank
Manni

The reason the cloth sags is because the glue is attached to a sponge which is attached to the liner.
Its the sponge bit that comes away.
Its best to be done again out the car but is a bit of a ball ache.
Ive got mine to do.

I thought it was fairly straight forward to take mine out... I just undid the four oh sh*t handles and popped out the interior lights and undid the sun visors and then slid it out off the hooks pushing from front to back. I then peeled off the cloth, using a scrubbing brush i brushed all the sponge off, reaplied the glue and then trimmed mine in black leather. Looks loads better
What have I become, my sweetest friend...
Everyone I know, goes away in the end...

You can try spray adhesive for a quick fix but it wont last long.
To do a proper job the liner needs to come out - if yours is a sunroof equipped car this is a ballache to get out and an even bigger ballache to get back in.
Good luck

Quick fix is to obtain a length of size 1 mini trunking (electrical wiring stuff), remove the lid, throw away the trunking, and wedge a suitable length of the lid off of the boot side pockets to form a hoop fitting tightly against the roof.
One of mine was like this for about five years without comment from anyone.
