Hi there,

Thinking of giving my car a proper clean, however before I start I want to get rid of all the layers of wax and other chemicals the car has had over the years. Can you please recommend such a cleaner?

Thanks

Doesn't washing up liquid damage the paint on the car? :?

That's because it strips all the protective layers of previously applied wax, polish etc etc.

Doesn't actually damage the paint, more exposes it if you don't reapply sufficient protection afterwards.

you dont need to wash it with that, just normal wash with hot water, then clay bar it , clay bar removes all the wax and oxidants etc

just make sure once clayed, you then can use paint renovator, polish, wax

best to do 1 panel at a time with all processes`s ,then move on to next panel

Washing with fairy liquid will strip most crud off, which then negates the need for clay unless is covered in bonded contaminants
