Needs a bit of love to the paint to bring it up and maybe some different wheels but it is a rather nice thing to be in

I like that

I think your money goes a lot further with a saloon

Silver grey leatherz is not a good look, even before one starts carrying rimz and gearboxes on the back seat 8O

I agree about the leather - the previous owner had them fitted - I think a set of black sports would look much better - got any?

But I don't understand the comments about rimz/gearboxes

I have a major aversion to silver /grey interiors. They invariably always look tired and manky and if on the off chance you get a car that was owned by a paedo and the trim is still really nice , it is a major effort to keep it so :(

The rimz/ gearbox comment was in reference to how many of use our modern daily turds, IE like vans to transport parts for our old turds ! .

Why didn't you buy a touring ? same car, better looking, much more useful .

Nice looking thing - never mind M Sport nonsense, a good metallic with chrome and 16's is where its at. I'd much rather have a saloon over a Coupe as well.

Looks like £1500 worth from here - pre 'lifted E46 six pot saloons aren't worth much now.

Car has had 2 previous owners, full verifiable BMW service history, 80,000 miles, wishbone bushes done 5,000 miles ago, long T&T and was the right price at the right time.

Beloved will be using it

And yes, previous owners were OCD types so leather is immaculate.

I have a company barge for shifting scrap around in :D

I was looking at these the other day and they do seem very cheap - anything obvious that goes wrong? I know the 320d's sometimes need turbos and injectors which i understand is pricey but what about the petrol models??

Always had VW's as daily drivers - Mk4's in particular 1.8t's or TDi's.

I've got an E46 320d with 156k on it. Original injectors/turbo/swirl flaps and no problems at all. Needed new front brake pipes for MOT last year, which I was a bit gutted about, as they are a b@stard to do.
