hey guys and girls.... basically my boot won't open on my touring....

it did this last week and i spent an hour on it and got it open and i thought fixed.... but alas, two days later.... no boot... the car's got me full on raging atm if i'm honest...

it locks and unlocks no problem but what i think is happening is that the barrel is moving the too far and the clip that it flicks to open the boot is missing the spot it's supposed to hit... (hope that makes sense)

has this happened to anyone else and any ideas on a fix?

Never seen anything like this, but what you describe sounds feasible. I've no suggestions as to exactly what's happened, but it ought to be fairly obvious with the lock dismantled.
As for opening the jammed hatch; that's easy. There's a 13mm nut on one arm of the U shaped catch, that can just about be reached from inside the car when the hatch is closed. Simply turn this nut in the direction that slackens the catch until it screws off of the end of the thread.
