How much does a 325 exhaust on an e30 really restrict an e34 m30b35 engine? Would it really be noticeable?
From what I've been reading the 325 system is twin 45mm pipes, and the e34 system is twin 50mm pipes, so would that make that much difference?
I only ask as I have a standard 325 system on mine, happy with the look of the tailpipes and the fact if I run over a kerb and bend the exhaust it is cheap to replace, but have considered getting a Scorpion or similar system if it will make the engine breathe better

Mines is running a 325 exhaust too, I haven't changed it because it's S/S.
But it needs changing to 50mm twin pipes.

I went from a 325i to a 50mm system and all i noticed was a little bit more power in the top end (not a lot) but it felt like it had lost a chunk of the low down power.

Thats good to know Lee, I'm not chasing power figures as the car is just for fun and the engine is standard so think I'll stick with what I've got for now
